Export Pennsylvania Electric Radiant Floor Heating
Export, Pennsylvania is home to roughly 8,000 residents, and U.S. Floor Heating installs radiant floor heat for homes and businesses throughout the area.
The largest amount of space you can use radiant floor heat in Export with one 120 volt thermostat is about 130 square foot or so. So, in larger rooms, it's sometimes smart to install two separate thermostats because if you're using one area as a living space or hanging out in another for different purposes than the rest of the room, you could operate your electric radiant floor heating in Export zones independently.
Having multiple thermostat zones gives you much more control over the temperature and can save you on operational costs. Everyone's house has different temperature needs room to room with electric radiant floor heating in Export.
Extra thermostats not only eliminate the need for air vents that are never quite doing their job addressing that room to room issue, it takes over the job of your personal heat adjustment needs far more efficiently.
For instance if you have a fireplace on one wall and a big sliding door on the other, you can set the floor heat temperature differently near the perimeter where it might be colder and use less heat towards the inside of the room, which can remain warmer away from outside influences and nearer the fireplace.
Just as temperatures vary throughout your home, your electric radiant floor heating in Export sensors can adjust for that when you install more than one thermostat. And, once you set your thermostat to your liking, it will maintain your chosen comfort zone for you worry free.
Other types of thermostat sensors are also available should you want additional features. Although we do not carry them, WiFi units are available in the market should you wish to upgrade.
For heavier applications like snow melting, we provide higher voltage thermostats which are also programmable. Call for more information about these heavy duty snow melting thermostats.
QuickMat vs. NetMat: Choosing the Right System
U.S. Floor Heating offers two core electric radiant floor heating products for Export installations. QuickMat is a self-adhesive mat built for use under tile or stone flooring, so it lays flat and stays put during installation. NetMat is designed to be embedded in thin-set or mortar and works well under wood, laminate, or carpet, including installations that need to fit around fixtures or into irregularly shaped rooms.
Installation in New and Existing Spaces
Both systems can go into new construction or a remodel of an existing Export home. For new floors, the mat or cable is laid directly on the subfloor before your finished flooring goes down. For a remodel, we design a custom layout around your room's exact dimensions and any fixed obstacles, like cabinets or a bathtub, so the heating element only covers the floor space you'll actually walk on.
Energy Efficiency
Electric radiant floor heating warms objects and people directly rather than heating the air the way a forced-air furnace does, which means less energy is wasted heating space near the ceiling that nobody uses. Paired with a programmable thermostat, most Export homeowners run their system only in the rooms and hours they need it, keeping operating costs predictable throughout the winter.
