Floor Installations for a Heated Floor

Installing our radiant floor heating system is simple. The systems are designed as D.I.Y. Projects, and can be done without any specialty tools or materials. Installation for each radiant floor heating system is very similar to the other, allowing for a heated floor in no time.

Prepare: Most products feature self-adhesive on the mat itself, making preparation quick and easy. Roll the product out onto a clean, dry concrete or wood sub-floor, and adhere the product to the floor itself. QuickMat will have adhesive strips on the aluminum, and NetMat will have the adhesive mesh. For TepidusWire, secure the wiring in place manually.

Insulate: If your room has a concrete sub-floor, install insulation between the sub-floor and the heating system, in order to prevent energy loss and maximize your heated floor.

Specific Floor Installations for a Heated Floor

Tile Heated Floor Installations: After completing the previous steps, install the tiles directly on the system using tile adhesive, then continue your flooring project as usual.

Wood/Carpet Heated Floor Installations: After laying out the the product, use a thin-set layer to insure even heating throughout the room. If your room has a concrete sub-floor, install insulation between the sub-floor and the product. After those are in place, install your floor covering as usual.
